F9F-8 Cougar model airplane |
| Soon
after the F9F Panther entered service, the company began development of
a swept wing variant, with the prototype flying for the first time on September
20, 1951. Although the F9F portion of the designation was the same as that
of the Panther, confirming that it was a variant of the original design,
the new name "Cougar" indicated that it was a rather different airplane. |

Mahogany and comes fully assembled with removable desk stand. |
