| The
C-2A Greyhound made its initial flight on November 18, 1964, being accepted
by the U.S Navy the following month, with an order for 19 of the aircraft.
In addition to palletised loads, the C-2A could accommodate 39 troops,
or 20 stretchers and 4 nursing staff. Early in 1982 the Navy ordered an
additional 39 planes. All 19 of the original planes were withdrawn from
service by 1987, with the newer aircraft differing from the earlier aircraft
by having uprated engines, better passenger accomodations, and improved
avionics. |
All airplane models are Hand Carved, Hand Painted
Mahogany and come fully assembled with removable desk stand. |
