Su-27 Flanker airplane model |
| The
prototype of this aircraft made its maiden flight on May 20, 1971, but
due to many problems (excessive drag, inadequate structural strength, flutter,
excessive weight) it had to be totally redesigned before it could be put
into production. The aircraft's large size gives it a massive internal
fuel capacity, and a correspondingly long range. It can also carry up to
10 air-to-air missiles in addition to its built-in 30-mm cannon. Other
derivatives of the Su-27 are the P-42 (an experimental version which smashed
many of the time-to-climb records set by the F-15 Strike Eagle), and the
Su-30, Su-32, and Su-35. |
All airplane models are Hand Carved, Hand Painted
Mahogany and comes fully assembled with removable desk stand. |
